How STILLA Transformed an 87m Yacht with Custom Luxury Floral Design

When we talk about luxury flowers onboard superyachts, STILLA becomes the number one expert. And our floral project for a private (and stunning) 87-meter superyacht is worth mentioning.

Flowers That Belong Onboard Superyachts

From the beginning, this was about creating floral pieces that felt at home onboard the yacht. Each design was thought out and crafted with utmost attention to detail, setting specific moods and scenery: some loud and lush, others soft and calm.

Our team of yachting specialists analyzed each space and vase to create something with meaning. We combined our artistic vision with a smarter approach, using our pristine preserved flowers that require no water, no maintenance, no stress for the crew, and last for a whole year.

A Collaborative Process: Something Truly Bespoke

Working alongside the yacht’s interior team, chief stewardess, and management, STILLA curated a cohesive floral identity for the vessel. Every suggestion was based on space, usage, guest profile, and lighting, ensuring the result wasn’t only beautiful, but practical and perfectly tailored.

The Red Rose Sculptures

A classic! But now reinvented with a lush and bold identity.

Two pieces stole the show. Set in the yacht’s vases made of pure gold, two classic red rose arrangements are made to add lasting passion onboard. One, a rich dome rich in color made with 100 eternal roses.  The second? A sweeping sculpture hand-crafted using different techniques to place hundreds of bio-preserved roses, creating a horizon-level floral display.

A Sunset Palette with Rich Texture

One of the most dynamic arrangements in the project featured deep reds, tangerine, saffron, and warm ivory tones, composed in a clear glass bowl. Nestled within a moss base, the palette offered all the warmth of a Mediterranean summer evening.

With preserved roses, eternal dahlias, and accent textures woven through, this centerpiece is ideal for shared spaces like a dining room or main salon where guests gather, toast, and linger.

The Cherry Blossom Vessel

What to say about this precious vase painted with cherry blossom branches? The poetic detailing of a true art piece makes us fall in love every time.

Inside, preserved roses and hydrangeas in soft blush and ivory tones created an effortlessly romantic mood.  It’s the kind of design you’d want to keep beside a reading nook or spa: soft, elegant, and totally peaceful.

Dining Table Florals

We created a few elongated pieces in soft ivory, pale apricot, and sage.  Their low profile made them ideal for dining tables and sideboards, featuring bio-preserved roses mixed with ranunculus, craspedia, and eucalyptus.

There’s a fine line between underwhelming and overdone at the table. These struck the balance: composed, textural, and camera-ready.

The Pink Hydrangea Cloud

Lush, playful, and full of movement, this arrangement became a favorite. All-pink preserved hydrangeas in a rectangular glass vase, floating above a moss-lined base.

The composition had a buoyant, airy quality: gentle in tone but full of volume and presence. This piece offered charm without tipping into overt femininity.

Earthy, Sculptural, and Refined

This arrangement brought something distinct to the overall yacht styling: a grounding presence. With creamy preserved hydrangeas as a base and layers of textured protea, delicate grasses, and sculptural fan palms, it offered a more organic, architectural feel.

Styled in a deep charcoal vessel etched with geometric lines, this piece added depth and contrast to lighter-toned interiors. It feels earthy but elevated ideal for a reading corner, lounge console, or spa space, it offered a tactile counterpoint to more polished elements onboard.

Authentic and Bespoke Eternal Flowers

Beyond the hero pieces, we curated a range of additional designs throughout the yacht, each crafted to reflect the mood, purpose, and flow of its specific space. From soft accents in guest cabins to more sculptural designs in quiet corners, every arrangement played a role in shaping the onboard experience. Because every design was made with preserved flowers, the yacht’s crew could move and restyle pieces without worry. No mess, no maintenance, and no pressure to find fresh florals in every port. We even built some pieces to be modular, so they could be clustered for impact or used individually for quieter moments.

From the start, we knew the styling had to work with the natural movement of life at sea. That meant secure bases, intentional proportions, and vases that were as functional as they were beautiful.
