Classic Meets Exotic: STILLA's Floral Styling Aboard M/Y Emerald

This yacht is a study in elegance with presence, timeless yet bold.  When STILLA was brought on to create the floral styling for Emerald, the vision was clear: refined floristry with a tropical edge. Something distinctive. Something unforgettable.

From the very first conversations with the yacht’s team, the goal was to design florals that reflected the boat’s striking profile and international spirit. The result? A curated fusion of classic European styles with exotic botanicals that brought energy, texture, and warmth to every corner onboard.

Designed for a Yacht with Personality

M/Y Emerald is no blank canvas. She is polished, with a calm composure, but certainly not minimal. Her interior leans toward warm sophistication, inviting textures, glowing materials, and thoughtful lighting. Each STILLA piece was tailored with purpose, creating a seamless dialogue between flowers and interior design.

Tall Silver Vase with Red Roses and White Anthurium

In a more vertical expression of floristry, we created a statement arrangement of red preserved roses and white anthuriums, flanked by sculptural palm fronds and large cream proteas. All set within a tall, polished silver vase.

This composition brought a sense of grandeur to one of the yacht’s central guest areas, elevated in tone and strong in silhouette. It balanced tropical elements with timeless floristry in a way that felt modern, not maximal.

Blue Hydrangea with Orchids and Sculptural Wood

One of the standout moments on Emerald was a sculptural piece inspired by our Sunbeam design from STILLA’s Garden Party collection (launched summer 2024).

We adapted the original soft yellow tones into a cooler, marine-inspired palette: preserved blue hydrangea, blue eternal roses, and elegant white orchids nestled into a contemporary white square vase. The final touch? Tall, twisting wood stems that added movement and vertical drama.

Red, Green, and Cream Tropical Centerpiece

For the dining area, we created a bold, horizontal composition featuring bio-preserved green hydrangeas, red garden roses, dahlia, ivory anthurium, and large proteas. The colour story brought together the freshness of tropical landscapes with a refined, European sensibility.

Low in height but rich in layering, this arrangement became a true centerpiece. Eye-catching but designed to enhance conversation, not compete with it.

Cream and Blue Harmony Arrangement

To soften the overall scheme, we created a floral display in gentle pastel tones: ivory hydrangeas, light blue roses, pale lilac blooms, and soft cream carnations. The design was framed in a smooth white ceramic bowl, adding a touch of freshness to an otherwise rich interior palette.

This arrangement was styled in a communal relaxation space, designed to feel calming, organic, and effortlessly composed.

Petite Composition with White Rose and Blue Accent

Finally, we included a discreet yet considered design for intimate corners and cabins. A single white preserved rose, eucalyptus, and a touch of electric blue gypsophila set in a small white ceramic vase. Understated and delicate, this arrangement served as a quiet, detailed reminder that luxury often lives in the little things.

As with every STILLA project, all flowers aboard Emerald were preserved—crafted to remain pristine without maintenance, water, or waste. They’ll keep their shape and colour throughout the season, making life onboard easier for the crew and seamless for guests.

This project was about contrasts. Classic Codecasa design meets lush, tropical floral expression. Iconic European craftsmanship meets contemporary floristry.
